The End of an Era, The Start of Another

Five years.

Five incredible years of love stories, happy tears, first dances, quiet prayers before walking down the aisle, and the privilege of witnessing two people promise forever.

Weddings have shaped me as a photographer in ways I will always be grateful for. They taught me to anticipate emotion, to chase light, to see beauty in the in-between moments. They gave me the honour of stepping into some of the most sacred days of people’s lives.

And now, a new season begins.

Becoming a mom has changed my heart and my perspective in the most beautiful way. Time feels different. Creativity feels deeper. The little moments feel bigger. I find myself drawn even more to the quiet of everyday life. As I celebrate five amazing years of wedding photography, I’m also stepping into something new. This next chapter will be focused on lifestyle sessions only. A narrowing in. A slowing down. A choosing of where my time and creativity are poured. Motherhood has given my work a new depth. I no longer just see a moment — I see how fleeting it is. I understand why families want to remember not only how things looked, but how they felt.

Lifestyle photography allows me to honour that fully. It gives space for connection without a timeline breathing down your neck. It lets children be children. It allows couples to settle into each other. It captures motherhood as it truly is — strong, tender, tired, joyful, sacred.

This shift is intentional. It’s aligned with how I want to live and create. Present. Slower. More rooted. More aware.

Honeybush Photography carried me through an incredible chapter. It built my foundation and helped me grow into the photographer I am today. But stepping into Kylee Mann Photography feels personal. It feels grounded in identity, in family, in this new understanding of time.

I’m not stepping away from storytelling. If anything, I’m stepping closer to it.
